The Council of the Czech Language Institute

The Council of the Czech Language (CLI) Institute operates under the Czech act no. 341/2005, on Public Research Institutions. The council:

Discusses proposals for research, development and innovation projects and proposals for the negotiation of foreign cooperation agreements and cooperation agreements with institutions of the Czech Republic.

Makes sure that the purpose for which the public research institution was established is fulfilled and that it serves public needs in its activities.

Makes sure that the activities of the public research institution are in accordance with its foundation deed and makes decisions concerning future development.

Discusses the budget of the CLI and its possible amendments as well as the medium-term prediction of funding the CLI.

Approves selected internal regulations and discusses the annual report and accounting report.

Proposes the members of the committee for the selection of the director of the institution, proposes the removal of the Director and discusses the intention of the founder to appoint or remove the Director.
