Vývoj kodifikace české výslovnosti

The monograph focuses on the field of pronunciation of literary Czech. It traces the history of Czech orthoepic research and in detailed way traces the first attempts to capture pronunciation rules. The book also follows compiling codification manuals at the Czech Language Institute and summarizes the latest development in research into the pronunciation of spoken Czech. The core of the work is the analysis of the contents of influential orthoepy manuals. Special attention is paid to those pronunciation rules that were gradually changing or that are problematic in relation to the current pronunciation norm. The book also contains the results of phonetic analyses performed on the Monologue corpus.
