Syntax mluvené češtiny

The team of authors of this book based it on conviction that certain general characteristics of spoken Czech that do not represent any “irregularities” or “deviations” can be described at the background of written texts. The authors focused their research of the syntactic and text structure of spoken texts, among other things, on the relation of utterance units (with their fuzzy boundaries) to replicas in a dialogue, some means of prosody or to an extensive category of “discourse markers”. The research made use mainly of the data from corpora of spoken Czech but also of other sources.
