Elektronický slovník staré češtiny (Electronic Dictionary of Old Czech)
Elektronický slovník staré češtiny (The Electronic Dictionary of Old Czech; 2006–) is a historical monolingual dictionary capturing the Czech vocabulary from its beginnings to the end of the 15th century. It is based on material collected in the lexical card catalogues of the Department of Language Development of the Czech Language Institute. It alphabetically complements the Staročeský slovník (Old Czech Dictionary; na – pri, Praha 1968–2008) to complete the description of Old Czech lexis. Entries in the A–M alphabetical range focus on the description of all materially documented Old Czech vocabulary. The A to Z section currently presents only those lexical units which are not included in the Malý staročeský slovník (Short Old Czech Dictionary; Bělič, J. – Kamiš, A. – Kučera, K., Praha 1979). We are gradually adding terms that have previously only been lexicographically recorded in the Malý staročeský slovník (Short Old Czech Dictionary), documenting meanings with evidence from contemporary texts and revising entries to unify them.
