Slovotvorný vývoj deverbálních substantiv ve staré a střední češtině

The book presents the overview of word formation of deverbative nouns from the beginnings of Czech up to the third fourth of the 18^th century. Methodology is based on functional and structural theory of derivation and draws from the most extensive collection of the language material of the period which are at the disposal of the Czech Language Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The main explanatory part is formed by chapters dealing with individual naming categories organized according to suffixes. The suffixes are seen in relation to the dynamics of language development. The book partially fills a blind spot in Czech historical grammar that still lacks complex and detailed description of word formation based od representative language material.
